Good questions get fast, accurate answers — and become searchable knowledge for the next person. A great Q&A post has four parts:
- What you ran — the exact command or agent action.
cos init,cos doctor, a hook that fired, acos_*tool call. - What you expected — one sentence.
- What actually happened — the exact output, pasted as a code block. Screenshots of text are hard to search; paste text.
- Your environment — agent runtime (Claude Code / Codex / other), OS, and
cos --version.
Before posting:
- Search the forum — error messages are great search queries, and the most common questions already have staff-curated answers here.
- Run
cos doctor— it catches most broken-install states and tells you the fix. - Check the docs — installation and concepts are covered there.
When a reply solves your problem, mark it as the 
accepted answer — that’s what turns your question into documentation.
